Julia Baumgardt (1882-1962) was born in 1882 at Waihola and baptised as Julia Bridget at the St Mary's Church, Milton.
In 1900 she married David Wilson. The couple started their family while living at Otokia. By 1908 they had moved to Dunedin, where the remainder of their children were born. They had 15 in total, including a set of twins. Photos of ten are included below.
Their eldest son David Edward 'Ted' Wilson shared his photograph collection that included all branches of our tree. These photos and his memories are invaluable to our family history. Third son Leslie Stephen Wilson was buried in northern Poland in 1944, not far from the ancestral village of Gołczewo, in the homeland of his grandparents Paul and Eva Baumgardt.
